Catalog

Overview

The **catalog** is the shared vocabulary Fencio uses to understand traffic. A **concept** names a kind of information or action, a **group** bundles preseeded concepts, and a **parser** reads a specific tool or language out of an event. Rules are written in this vocabulary.

Concepts

List, inspect, create or update concepts. The first argument is the action:

fencio catalog concepts
fencio catalog concepts list
fencio catalog concepts get <name>
fencio catalog concepts create <name>
fencio catalog concepts update <name>

Groups

Work with the preseeded groups and what is linked to the selected asset:

fencio catalog groups
fencio catalog groups list
fencio catalog groups linked-groups
fencio catalog groups link <group>
fencio catalog groups unlink <group>

Parsers

List, show or test the parsers that read facts from an event:

fencio catalog parsers
fencio catalog parsers list
fencio catalog parsers show <id>
fencio catalog parsers test <id>

Bind a concept

Bind a concept to the selected asset so its rules can use it:

fencio catalog bind <concept>
